52. Let Go

‘Let Go’; just two little words that contain so much energy and power, but can be very difficult to put into practice. If and when we can ‘let go’ easily and all the time, we would live in an ever-flowing stream of new possibilities. Recently, I heard a health professional say, that regeneration and recovery from any illness can only occur by letting go of past negative emotions. I have observed this truth in every health issue I have helped with, as a therapist.

In Kinesiology, a key principle is that everything that has ever occurred in our lives is stored in our cellular memory. Some of these memories are empowering and provide the fuel for our progress. Other memories are traumatic, creating blocks in our energy channels, in time resulting in chronic illness. Our perception and response to the memory creates the negative or positive emotions, that in turn influences our body’s chemistry. All this happens automatically, though not necessarily out of our control.

Traumas accumulated from childhood onwards often get suppressed, filling us with intense anger, fear, guilt, shame, feeling not good enough… these are just a few examples of emotions buried deep within that we hold on to, which start to eat us from the inside and the body begins to degenerate. Rejuvenation is only possible once we learn to recognise these deep-seated emotions, resolving to accept and love ourselves through understanding and actively letting go. Miracles then do show up in our lives, as evidenced by many recovered people.
